Getting grants to work for you.

Step 1: Low Hanging Fruit

Contact the people who have already been awarded grants by researching the grants and calling the contacts.

Let's start with some common awards. I'll add some more as I find them. If you run into any, let me know and I'll ad them to the list.

Step 2: Jones Grant Consortium Project

This project is meant to create a consortium of Jones Knowledge using schools under one grant. Jones itself cannot apply for a grant because of its being a for-profit instThis project appears to be on hold. Read it and keep notes of any ideas.itution. The idea is that we will make agreements with one school district in each state that we will provide them with a template grant application. The grant will create a consortium of schools that will all be on Jones platform and will create courses that can be shared within the consortium.

Call on grant coordinator in each district. Sometimes larger districts will have an actual grant position other times it will be assigned to person with other duties. You'll want to ask :

If they're not in a grant process, we can send them to a web page that lists the grants we're working on. If they agree to to go for it, we'll send them some sort of agreement of intent. Then we'll send them a template of the grant that would apply to them and they would simply fill in the blanks and send it off. We would offer an option to add on touch ups by the grant writer at an additional cost. The cost for them is only in postage.
